The ‘Future of Europe’ at the TEPSA Pre-Presidency Conference in Zagreb
On 29 November 2019, on the occasion of the incoming Croatian Presidency of the Council of the EU a panel on ‘Future of Europe: Is differentiated Integration a Good Answer to Euroscepticism?’ was orgnised in the framework of the InDivEU project, which took place at the TEPSA Pre-Presidency Conference in Zagreb.
Moderated by Paul Schmidt (Secretary General of the Austrian Society for European Politics – ÖGfE, Vienna), the panel involved outstanding academics on differentiated integration: Frank Schimmelfennig (Member of the TEPSA Board, Professor and Head of European Politics Group, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology – ETH, Zürich); Funda Tekin (Member of the TEPSA Board, Director of the Institut für Europäische Politik – IEP, Berlin); Juha Jokela (Member of the TEPSA Board, Programme Director, Finnish Institute of International Affairs – FIIA, Helsinki); and John Stevens (Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Federal Trust, London).

The ‘Future of Europe’ at the TEPSA Pre-Presidency Conference in Helsinki
On 6 June 2019, on the occasion of the incoming Finnish Presidency of the Council of the EU, a ‘Future of Europe‘ panel was organised in the framework of the InDivEU project, which took place at the TEPSA Pre-Presidency Conference in Helsinki. It featured a keynote speech by Michel Barnier, Chief Negotiator of the EU Task Force on Article 50 negotiations with the United Kingdom, followed by a panel discussion on the Future of Europe in light of the results of the European elections held in May 2019. Conversations for the Future of Europe
On 4 June 2019, the concept of Differentiated Integration was discussed at the 5th ‘Conversations for the Future of Europe‘ seminar. This seminar series is organised by the European Governance and Politics Programme (EUI) and aims facilitate debate and inspire far-sighted, creative ideas for how to address current EU policy problems.
